Tower Resources, based in the United Kingdom, aims to produce 8,000 barrels per day of oil in Cameroon starting in 2025

Tower Resources’ CEO told S&P Global Commodity Insights that the company’s four-well drilling campaign off Cameroon aims to produce 8,000 barrels per day of oil by 2025, helping to reverse years of output reductions in the Central African country. Cameroon’s oil output peaked in 1985 at 186,000 b/d following large discoveries in the 1970s but has since declined to roughly 61,000 b/d due to an exodus of foreign oil corporations, according to S&P Global statistics.
